Gakuran Roll Chances Calculator

Gakuran roll chances work by rarity tier, not by individual style. Every one of the 10 fighting styles belongs to one of five official tiers — the new ??? tier, Legendary, Epic, Uncommon, or Common — and the developers have confirmed each tier's combined drop rate: 0.075% for ??? (the new Ali style), 1% for Legendary, 10% for Epic, 30% for Uncommon, and 59% for Common. What hasn't been published is how that tier percentage splits between the styles inside it, so this calculator shows the real tier odds for your target style instead of inventing a per-style number.

The calculator uses your selected style's tier rate to compute expected rerolls (1 divided by the drop rate) and a Robux cost estimate at the confirmed ~2 Robux per reroll. Ethnicity odds are now official too — Japanese 95%, every other ethnicity 1% — so picking a target ethnicity multiplies its rate into your combined gakuran chances. One caveat: a single reroll re-randomizes every factor at once, and multiplying tier rate by ethnicity chance assumes those factors roll independently, so treat the joint number as an estimate rather than a developer-confirmed combined rate. Height has no odds table at all — it rolls on a continuous scale where values near your ethnicity's published average are common and extremes are rare.

The rarest roll is the new ??? tier — Ali — at just 0.075%, about 1334 expected rerolls and roughly 2667 Robux to land one. Rolling for a Legendary style (Kure, Capoeira, Wrestling, or the reworked Hakari) means a 1% combined chance per reroll, which works out to about 100 expected rerolls and roughly 200 Robux. An Epic style (Boxing) sits at 10%, or about 10 expected rerolls and roughly 20 Robux. Uncommon (Muay Thai, Slugger, Karate) and Common (Basic) styles are far more likely to show up on any given reroll, at 30% and 59% respectively.

Character creation also rolls one of 6 ethnicities alongside height, surname, and cosmetics — and the gakuran ethnicity odds are now official: Japanese 95%, with European, African, Middle Eastern, Latino, and Indian at 1% each. That makes any non-Japanese ethnicity roughly as rare as a Legendary style on its own, which is why combined targets — say, a Legendary style on a European character — get expensive fast. The calculator shows each ethnicity's real percentage in the dropdown and folds it into the combined odds, with the independence caveat above.

Gakuran height isn't a rarity roll — it's a continuous value shaped by your character's gender and ethnicity, and the developers publish only the averages: European males average 178 cm (5'10") and females 165 cm (5'5"); African males average 175 cm (5'9") and females 162 cm (5'4"); Middle Eastern males average 173 cm (5'8") and females 160 cm (5'3"); Japanese males average 171 cm (5'7") and females 159 cm (5'3"); Latino/Latina males average 170 cm (5'7") and females 158 cm (5'2"); Indian males average 167 cm (5'6") and females 155 cm (5'1"). Heights close to your ethnicity's average are the most common results, while very short and very tall characters are much rarer. There's no published percentage per height bracket, which is why this calculator doesn't offer discrete height odds — any site that does is guessing.

Height also changes how you fight. Taller characters get more health and damage, larger hitboxes, slower movement and attacks, longer heavy cooldowns, shorter dashes; shorter characters get the mirror image — less health and damage, smaller hitboxes, faster movement, attacks, and cooldowns, shorter heavy cooldowns, longer dashes. In practice a tall roll trades mobility for raw stats and a bigger hitbox to defend, while a short roll trades health and damage for speed and longer dashes. If you're hunting a specific build, remember that European characters have the tallest averages and Indian characters the shortest, so your ethnicity roll nudges the height distribution too.
