Gakuran Controls

On PC, Gakuran's fight kit lives on a small cluster of keys: light attacks (M1) are Left Click and chain into the 4-hit combo, the heavy attack (M2) is R, you block by holding F, and Q is your dash. If you searched "how to fight in Gakuran on PC", that's the whole answer — Left Click pressure, R for unblockable damage, and F held at exactly the right moment turns your block into a parry.

The utility binds trip up more players than the combat ones. Alt opens your phone (the game's menu hub), T equips or unequips your fighting style, E interacts, and — the one nobody finds on their own — Backspace drops whatever you're holding. When another player is downed, V carries them and B executes them. Ctrl toggles shift lock, Shift sprints, and Shift + P opens free cam. On controller, Gakuran maps light attacks to Right Trigger (RT / R2), the heavy attack to Y / Triangle, block to Left Trigger (LT / L2), and dash to B / Circle. You sprint by clicking the left stick (L3), interact with X / Square, and open the phone with D-Pad Down. Carrying and executing a downed player use bumper combos: LB + X (L1 + Square) to carry, LB + B (L1 + Circle) to execute.

The official card lists 13 console binds, and notably there is no Drop button among them — if you need to drop an item on console, no official bind exists for it. Equipping your fighting style on controller goes through the X or Y button (Square or Triangle) in the settings, which is clumsier than the single T press on PC.

The developers have never published a mobile keybind table, and there isn't a hidden one this page is leaving out — on mobile, Gakuran is played entirely through on-screen HUD buttons for attacking, blocking, dashing, and interacting. Those buttons are real and even adjustable: the v7.203 patch notes fixed a bug where mobile HUD button layouts weren't saving, which is the developers themselves confirming the HUD layout system. If an official mobile control sheet ever ships, it will be added here; until then, treat any site listing exact mobile binds with suspicion.

Gakuran also ships two chat commands that work on every platform. /Me wraps your message in asterisks for roleplay actions — and typing an asterisk before and after any message also highlights it in pink. /S sends a shouted, emphasized version of your message. Those two are the only commands listed on the official card.
